2012 Annual Conference – Sweet Sorghum Ethanol Association
Attendees at the 2012 SSEA Annual Conference declared it a success as measured by the list of speakers, the quality of excellent information presented, and attendance. The SSEA arranged a world-class event with representative from five nations offering features and activities exceeding past programs. The participation from a wide range of professionals contributed to an environment conducive to an exchange of information and networking fellowship.
The business meeting created a great forum for discussion and several key decisions were made by the members. The members reviewed several sections of the By-laws and determined new language needed to be created to clear any vague points of order. Additionally, the members decided to review new suggestions from the membership on a new name for the organization. It was also decided to revert back to original language of the By-laws that defined voting on SSEA board members and officers.
At the end of the conference, new elections took place and a new board was installed. The board then met for a planning session and election of officers. The new Board and officers are:
Scott W Gibson, President Randall Powell, Vice President Danielle Bellmer, Secretary Michael McNeil, Treasurer Steve Vanechanos, at large Jeffrey Benner, at large Roland Holou, at large Ismail Dweikat, at large Christopher Moakley, at large
Materials presented in these programs will be reproduced shortly on the web site for all current members. If you were not available to participate in the conference but need to re-new your membership to remain active, contact our treasurer Michael McNeil.
